Day one

The day started well with 2 good stage times We the made some changes to the shock absorbers and lost some feel So at the next service we changed again The car felt great but on the next stage when applying the brakes it made the whole car shudder We had to endure this for one more stage before service At service it was obvious that our new brakes had failed!!

Three discs badly cracked

We replaced these but as they were new had to try to bed them in nicely so didn't push real hard on stage 5 On stage 6 and 7 the four wheel drive system had a computer glitch so we had to complete these in 2 wheel drive We then went to service and when checking the new brakes found that the right front wheel had cracked badly so we checked the rest and unfortunately found that two others were also had it So a rushed trip back to Auckland for another set of wheels and some more brake rotors A huge thanks to Mark Cromie from Cromie Holden in Whangarei For the use of his workshop A late night for the team

Day two

We had hoped that the gremlins in the computer had gone away And we could finally start to get some confidence in the car Sadly not to be We again had to complete both morning stages with No four wheel drive Still managing to set the 4 th fastest times Unreal!

On the second pass through with 4 wheel drive working we made some good gains and consolidated our fourth outright position Which we have held onto at days end
